A good start to the week

Mondays are blah. But I had a good start to the week

*Went to Lowe’s

*Was amazed by how many hot men are there are 9am

*And how many hot men work there. Perhaps I should go to Lowe’s more often?

*Went to Dunkin to get my free Wifi on.

*Was disappointed since it wasn’t working and I just spent $1.08 on an iced coffee

*Asked the DD employee if something was wrong with the Wifi, she said “No, it’s working” and pointed over at a guy and said “See, he is on” I looked over and replied “Ummm, he isn’t even on a computer”!”

*Thought I was being punk’d and decided to leave

*Wondered if Punk’d is still on? Probably not with Ashton going to Two and a Half Men

*Thought about what my favorite Demi Moore movie is, still going with One Crazy Summer

*Went to old faithful, Starbucks, to get my free wifi on.

*Met up with a friend for lunch at Table 274, a new restaurant in Cotswold.

Like I would actually pay full price for a meal!

I’ve been curious about this place since it opened a few months ago but heard mixed reviews. I figured I would wait a couple of months to check it out so they could work out their kinks. Because they are working out their kinks and what works and what doesn’t solely for me.

I ordered the Roasted Vegetable Wrap-Roasted artichoke and tomato, sautéed mushroom, goat cheese and arugula

All of that for only $7! The wrap was tasty as is anything with goat cheese. But I was expecting it to be hmmmm….not soggy. The inside was good but a tortilla was definitely not the ideal way to hold it together. It would have been better on a pita or focaccia, something to hold it better together because it started falling apart after awhile. The sweet potato chips were a bit of a disappointment, most of them were limp and soggy. But then when sifting through them, I would find a good, fresh one in the mix.

*Visited my second Starbucks of the day. Apparently, I will pay full price for the Bucks

*Wondered what David Lee Roth is up to these days

(source)

*Didn’t bother to look, somehow I was assured that he is alive and well

*Went on a mile and a half walk with Lincoln. There were a few minutes were I didn’t think he was going to make it since he was dragging and panting in search of shade and water.

*Noshed on leftover tacos but this time added some Spicy Wholly Guacamole to them, always a welcome addition.

*Flipped through magazines and went to bed by 10pm. I don’t feel like I did that much but I was ready to crash.

Oh I left out one major thing I did on Monday:

Booked a trip to Italy!

Like you even have to guess what the question of the day is…..

Have you ever been to Italy?

A good start to the week — 22 Comments

  1. Oh Italy… I’m so jealous!

Poor Lincoln! A few of the days I walked Jaime’s dogs as a dogsitter, I didn’t realize J doesn’t walk them for that long. I had to cary one of them once or twice because they looked like they were about to topple over! I felt so bad!

  2. What?!?
You go from dragging your dog through the heat before spicy gaucamole consumption to Italy?!? That’s huge! The closest thing I’ve been to Italy was going out to an authentic Italian restaurant in NYC last month! I can’t wait for the details on this one…

And yes, the only reason I own a house is so that I can go to Home Depot/Lowe’s to check out the hot guys while shopping for some random sink part I didn’t even know existed.

  3. OMFG!!!!! JERSSEEEYYYY SHORREEE. Kidding I know you don’t watch…or do you now? Anyways, congrats!! who you going with? i need details!! Guess you aren’t coming to Colorado..hahaha. Anyways are you trying to use all your groupons before your move?

  4. Italy! I love Italy! I went to Vennice several years ago when I was living in London as my “vacation”. It was fantastic! How long will you be there? where are you going? DETAILS!

The man pointing to the guy NOT on the computer is hilarious. What do you say to that?!

  5. I love love love Italy!! Where exactly? I went to Rome with Binks four years back – best experience of my life. I ate gelato every day and really loved everything it – gelato and Rome that is. :) You’re going to have a magnificent time.

PS You sorta have to stop with the food pictures. I was doing fine until I saw that wrap. Now, my stomach is growling at me. So, great job Tiffany!!

  6. Aaaaah oh my gosh that is so exciting! I have never been to Italy but it is on my “list!” I was going to try to convince Brian to take a trip there after he got back from deployment but with Miss A coming we need to save all the flow.

So, deets? Where in Italy are you going? Will you drink lots of wine for me?!?!

  7. Damn only $1 for iced coffee? that’s so cheap! I’m pretty sure it’s double that in Boston!

ITALY!!!!!!!!! OMG! I am so jealous!! I went once a few years ago. it is SO gorgeous and I want to go back ASAP! Where are you going?

  8. YESSSSS!!!!! I’ve been to Florence, Pisa and Milan. Where are you going?!? I’m way sad I lived in Europe twice and never went to Venice, Rome or the Vatican City (yes, I realize that’s not Italy, but when in Rome…)

SO AWESOME!! You’re going to love it :)

  9. I am always amazed by how easy it is for me to pay full price for Starbucks too. I cringe at the thought of not finding a deal for anything else, and yet I can spend $4 at Starbucks for a coffee without blinking an eye…

  10. I studied abroad in Florence when I was a junior in college. I can’t wait to go back — though I’m sure the experience will be MUCH different since I will be a tourist rather than ‘living’ there. We also travelled to Venice, throughout a lot of Tuscany and to Sorrento and Capri! Where are you going?!
