Perfect weekend

Maybe it was redeeming one of my Living Social deals at Kokoro and having a unexpected, filling meal for quite a value……

Service was a little slow for a Sunday afternoon but their prices so cheap and food so fresh and made with love that I could forgive the staff taking their time.

Maybe it was the ample amount of cuddle time that I had with my pup

Maybe it was trying a new-to-me beer with a fun name. Seriously, how did I not try this stuff when I lived back east?

Maybe it was doing nothing on Sunday afternoon except lounging by the pool with magazines…..

Maybe it was going back to a familiar spot, Red Rock Canyon, in Colorado Springs for some hiking on Labor Day……

Maybe it was how the views of Colorado such as Garden of the Gods will never fail to take my breath away…..

Maybe it was pushing myself for over an hour and a half of hiking (despite the lies that Runkeeper told me since I forgot to hit resume). I went on paths I wouldn’t have gone on before and trying new things all by my lonesome…..

Maybe it was stumbling upon the first Dunkin Donuts I’ve seen in the state of Colorado and doing a happy dance when a large iced coconut coffee was handed to me……

Maybe it was getting a free lunch thanks to a forgotten Chipotle gift card……

Maybe it was meeting new friends, like my best friends baby……

Maybe it was  realizing how my friends aren’t just friends, they are my family. Maybe it was realizing that I don’t need a ton of things, abstract or concrete to make me happy and content with life. Maybe it was just all of the above that made a perfect weekend.

  1. YAY FOR DUNKIN!!! I know you are sooo happy!! And what a nice view by the pool…;) …great pic of you with the baby!!! Glad you are having a great week!!

  2. I’m actually surprised to hear you don’t have Dunkins, I feel like they have been sprouting up everywhere. You know, maybe you should open the Denver franchise and pay yourself in iced coconut. ;)

  3. Flying Dog is like, right near my house. One of my friends is a brewer there. It’s a BIG THING in Frederick. Perhaps you should come visit me and I’ll take you there (except I banned myself from their brewery for life… another story for another time…)
And there’s a Dunkin within WALKING distance from my house. I’ve probably only been there maybe twice…

  4. this post gave me the warm fuzzies :) yay to your friend having her baby!! so stinkin’ adorable. (and i’m glad you like kykoro – i literally just suggested eating there to Alex and he was skepitcal because all those strip mall restaurants don’t look up-to-date and we didn’t know of ANYONE who’d ever eaten there – now we do! cheap and fresh! yay!)
